 Job Title: Protection Officer

Reports to: Protection Manager / Team Leader

Organisation: The American Refugee Committee (ARC)

 Job Summary:

 The Protection Officer will be responsible for implementing strategies for providing Sexual and Gender Based Violence prevention and awareness services to community structures, partners, persons of concern

and other key stakeholders in line with the Protection guidelines and ARC mission.

Person Specifications:

• University Degree in Social Sciences, Public Health or other relevant field;

At least 3 years training experience on GBV, SASA methodology and protection issues; Knowledge of GBV prevention and response programming in humanitarian settings; Knowledge of the local language and the population is added advantage.
