Action for Community Development (ACODEV) is a national NGO that has been
implementlng program in Uganda for 11 years now. We envision a society where
children, women and men are healthy and economically productive. We serve and
empower lndlvlduals, families and communities In Uganda through promoting
locally driven, innovative and
sustainable solutions in the areas of Human
Rights, Health Promotion and Institutional Capacity Strengthening.
ACODEV has received funding to implement a 4-year PATH USAID Advocacy for
Better Health project in 29 Sub-Counties ofKasese District. The goal
oftf1eproject is to improve the quality, accessibility, and availability of
hea!lh services by fostering citizen demand and enhancing the capacity of
citizens to advocate for Improved responsiveness and accountability by
decision-makers and service providers.
Job Purpose:
To provide overall project management and lead on al! project acllcns under
the KIR In all KCCA divisions. Lead the entire project team to support project
Implementation al all levels and as per plan and be responsible for project
reporting to divisions, KCCA stakeholders and the development partners, Support
data quality of
all project data from officers and ensure compliance to child safeguarding
policies and other development partner policies during project implementation.
Support project M&E, project visibility and continuous resoorce mobilisation
to ensure program development and suslainability.
Minimum Qualifications and knowledge requirements:
Degree In Social Sciences. Development Studies, SWSA, Nursing, Public
health with relevant field experience
Masters Degree in relevant field or its equivalent is an added advantage.
6 years experience of NGO project managemenl in relevant field in Uganda.
Knowledge of the Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Policies and the
dynamics of young people health Issues In Uganda Is key.
Knowledge of Save the Children International operational standards
