Brief Company Profile:
1.0 Introduction
Community Enterprises Development Organization (CEDO), a memberbased,
indigenous non-governmental organization based in Kalisizo-Rakai
District has received funding from Lutheran World Relief, www.lwr.org and
Progresso, www.progres.nl.
to lead other two partners to implementation of a Project, Sustainable
Enterprises for Trade Engagement “SENTE”. The project aims at contributing to
improved livelihoods of smallholder farmers through sustainable agriculture and
has a strategic objective of increasing incomes of targeted smallholder Bean,
Coffee, and Maize farmers of the greater Masaka area from the marketing of
their cash crops. CEDO wants to use part of the funds to hire competent staff
to manage the project.
2.0 Available positions
Project Coordinator (1 Position)
Responsible for overall project deliverables, resources and scope.The
position shall be based in Kalisizo with frequent travel to other project
sites. The project coordinator shall report to LWR and CEDO Board and be
responsible for the Marketing, Finance & administration and ICT Officers.
Key requirements.
Atleast a PGD in Project management, with a minimum of three years’
experience, with proof of successfully managing agricultural marketing
projects.
Knowledge in contemporary market
based approaches and business management will be added advantage.
Marketing officers (3 positions),
Maize, Bean seed and Robusta Coffee
Shall report to the project coordinator and the respective value chain
organization Structures. Shall be responsible for field officers and work
closely with other marketing managers to oversee performance of marketing
functions.
Key requirements
Degree in Business management studies or related field, experience in a
specific value chain markets marketing dynamics.

report to the respective marketing offi cers and motivate community based
facilitators
Key requirements
Qualified to atleast Diploma level in Agricultural or community
development/ development studies and related disciplines, from reputable
institutions, with at least three years of provable successful implementation
of agricultural marketing projects. Knowledge of organization development,
practical knowledge of promotion of savings and loans association, bulk
marketing and ability Conduct unifi ed extension services are added advantage.
3.0 Other requirement for all positions

• All applicants must be willing to work and reside within the project area
• A motivator for a team and commitment to work towards project objectives
• Fluent in oral and written English
• Ability to work on tight schedules
• Willing to work under performance based reward system
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Sound computer knowledge (Word, excel, Access and email)
• Ability and willingness to ride a motorcycle.
