Position Title:Assistant Librarian(1)
Reports to: University Librarian

Salary Scale: NU 7
Age limit: 25 - 30years
Terms of service: Permanent
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
a) To provide information and reference
service using print and online sources.
b) To provide reader’s advisory service.
c) To present programs, book talks, and tours.
d) To provide a full range of circulation
services, including patron registration and transactions.
e) To edit catalog records.
f) To process and repair library materials.
g) To assist in creating promotional
materials, writing reports, and maintaining files.
h) Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES
a) Bachelor's Degree in Library Science
(Second Upper Division)
b) Two (2) year experience in the library
c) Desktop publishing and web design desirable
SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
a) Knowledge of Library
Management Systems such as KOHA
b) Computer literacy
c) Supervisory skills
d) Public relations
e) Knowledge and ability to use library
catalogs, indexes tools, and services.
f) Ability to learn the use of audiovisual
equipment.
g) Communication skills
