Job
Purpose/Objective: To maintain heat and
steam levels in the boilers at all times.
Duties
and Responsibilities:
1.
Operate the boilers on a day to day basis.
2.
Carry out regular servicing on the boilers.
3.
Ensure proper maintenance of records and registers related to boilers
operations.
4.
Ensure and maintain good housekeeping practices
5.
Adhere to the company’s Environment, Health and Safety regulations while at
work.
6.
Cleans and maintains heating and steam boilers and equipment, using hand tools.
7.
Moves controls and observes gauges to regulate heat and steam.
8.
Installs burners and auxiliary equipment, using hand tools.
9.
Shovels coal or coke into firebox to feed fuel, using hand tools.
Personal
specification:
Graduates
of diploma in Mechanical Engineering or certificate in boiler operation.
Candidates must have at least two years’ relevant working experience in
operation of steam boilers and chillers in a busy manufacturing environment.
