Job Purpose: To carry our reception service and telephone switch board operation.
Background Information:
National Medical Stores is an autonomous Corporation that was established
by an Act of Parliament 1993. Our mandate is to procure, store and distribute
medicines and other medical supplies to public health facilities in Uganda.

We are now looking for competent persons who possess appropriate skills,
knowledge and right attitude to fill vacant positions which has arisen as a
result of our expanded mandate. Applications are now invited from suitably
qualified candidates to fill the following vacant posts within the Corporation.

KEY RESULT AREAS/ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.Receive, record bookings and make outgoing calls.
2.Maintain records and verify telephone bills beforen forwarding for
payment processing.
3. Receive all incoming calls and route them to relevant personnel, and
attend to routine inquiries and record all messages received in line with NMS
customer care guidelines.
4. Maintain the front desk office infrastructure in line with front office
desk management practices.
5. Receive customers/visitors to corporation and guide the relevant offices
in line with NMS customer care guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1)A minimum of an diploma in Secretarial Studies or in Business
Administration or in Leisure and Hospitality.
2)Computer literate
3)Able to communicate effectively, especially verbally
4)A Minimum of two years post qualification experience.
5)Should have undertaken training in Customer Service
