Organisation:The Microfinance Support Centre Limited (MSC)
Main role: Responsible for promotion and maintenance of
good corporate image of MSC Ltd in the public domain, its clientele and
stakeholders.
Reports to: Manager Public relations, Marketing
&Communication.
Background Information:
The
Microfinance Support Centre Limited (MSC) is a linchpin of Government
of
Uganda (GOU) micro credit programmes under the Rural Financial Services
Strategy.
MSC
facilitates access to affordable, sustainable and convenient financial
and
Business Development services to active and productive Ugandans.
MSC
Ltd supports legally established entities engaged in the value chain
namely;
production, value addition and marketing enterprises.
In
order to realize its vision & mission, the Company seeks to recruit
suitable
persons
to fill the following vacant position in its establishment.
Key Results Areas:
§ Implement
Marketing strategies, procedures and processes.
§ Handle
public relations and Company image matters.
§ Identify
and retain clients.
Job descriptions
1.
Co-ordinate and explore prospects of bringing new clients on board.
2.
Maintain contacts of key clients and stakeholders.
3.
Develop , design & manage PR interventions/activities to bolster MSC Ltd’s
image.
4.
Manage the dissemination of information and respond to media concerns on the
company activities.
5.
Participate in the production of communication/marketing materials for purposes
of marketing the company to its clients.
6.
Participate in the co-ordination of all MSC Ltd public events .
7.
Organize and coordinate corporate social responsibility programs of the
company.
8.
Participate in MSC Ltd stakeholders programs/activities.

Minimum Qualifications and personal skills required for the role
The
position requires the following minimum qualifications;
§ An
honours degree in any of the following areas; Mass communication, social
sciences or development studies.
§ A
post -graduate qualifications in public relations/Marketing will be an added
advantage.
§ Working
experience of public relations of not less than 02 years.
§ Excellent
written and oral communication skills.
§ Strong
interpersonal skills.
§ Strong
ability to inspire, motivate and influence at all levels of partnerships.
§ Excellent
and aggressive/attentive listener.
§ Very
strong assertive behaviour, a creative, innovative& self motivated person.
§ A
business focused, straight thinker with the flexibility and creativity to
achieve results, a person of Innovation and flexibility in marketing and PR.
§ Self
driven with high sense of responsibility.
§ Ability
to meet deadline with minimal supervision.
§ Excellent
presentation and editing skills.
§ Good
computer skills.
§ Aged
between 25- 35.
