Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic –Contract Night
Shift Positions (X2) –
Duty Station: Kampala
Requirements
The ideal candidate should be able to,
• Perform installation, maintenance, repair and/or
replacement of defective components of truck.
• Perform preventive maintenance based on predetermined
service schedules
• Perform fault finding and diagnostic test of engines,
transmission and drive trains
• Build and repair diesel engines.
• Attending to vehicle breakdowns
• Maintain shop tools and equipment in good, safe and clean
working order, and report deficiencies
Personnel Specifications
• Preferably a degree in Automotive Mechanical Engineering
or related field.
• Must be currently employed as HD Truck Mechanic with
minimum of five years’ work experience in trucks
• Must have prior work experience on MAN, Nissan and
Mercedes Benz trucks
• Must have excellent problem solving, diagnostic and fault
finding skills
• Must hold a local valid heavy duty driver’s license
• Basic knowledge of human resource management and
supervision will be an added advantage.
Heavy Duty Truck
Mechanic Assistant – Contract Night Shift Positions (X2) –
Duty Station: Kampala
Requirements
The ideal candidate should be able to assist
Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic in:
• Performing preventative maintenance based on predetermined
service schedules.
• Performing fault finding and diagnostic test of engines,
transmission and drive trains
• Performing installation, maintenance, repair and/or

• Attending to vehicle breakdowns
• Maintaining shop tools and equipment in good, safe and

• Preferably a Diploma in Automotive Mechanical engineering
or related field.
• Must currently be employed as Truck Mechanic with a
minimum 3 years work experience on trucks
• Must have prior work experience on MAN, Nissan and
Mercedes Benz trucks
• Must have excellent problem solving, diagnostic and fault
finding skills.
• Must be able to work within a team
Procurement Officer (X1) –
Duty Station:Kampala
Requirements
The ideal candidate should be able to,
• Ordering and generating purchase orders
• Assist with managing inventory levels for the spare parts
division
• Resolving issues such as shipping, customer complaints,
pricing, and shortages in relations to the Spare Parts Division
• Negotiate with suppliers
• Compiling service level agreements with suppliers
• Negotiate with customs
Personnel
Specifications
• Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain
Management
• Candidates should have minimum 5 years’ experience in
automobile spare parts procurement of HMV / LMV
• Thorough knowledge of spare parts and inventory
• Good negotiation skills and the ability to liaise with
suppliers
• Ability to analyse and compile cost comparisons
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Basic understanding of Fleet management
• Previous exposure to spares optimization systems an
advantage.
• Advanced Computer Skills fully converse with Microsoft
Office (Word & Excel)
