Title: Finance and Administration Manager
Reports :to Head
Finance and Resources
Purpose and context
of the job:
To manage day to day financial accounting and administrative
services and provide support to UK staff presence in Uganda in order to meet
corporate standards and improve on operational efficiencies. The Finance and
Administration Manager is responsible for maintaining internal control
procedures, preparation of payroll, procurement and managing office operations.
The post holder will also provide financial support to Partnerships and Full
Cost Recovery Projects, making sure that such projects are delivered in
accordance with the financial procedures of the respective donor/partner.
Accountabilities,
Responsibilities and Main Duties
Processing procurement transaction for Business Support
Unit, and shared services
Process vendor payments in liaison with the finance hub and
ensuring that any issues are resolved timely
Manage vendor relationships making sure that they are paid
in line with agreed terms
Provision of advisory support to operational staff making
procurements Timely recording of financial transactions to facilitate the budget
management process
Skills Knowledge,
Experience and Qualifications Accounting qualification:
preferably at professional level Experience in a similar
organisation is added advantage Proven experience in asset and facilities
management
Proactive and demonstrable ability to work with minimum
supervision Analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the
ability to prioritise and juggle tasks

Services Officer

Purpose and context
of the job:
To deliver a positive experience to any British Council
customer by delivering an effective, efficient, quality driven and integrated
response on the full range of British Council activities and services in
Uganda. British Council Uganda offers a full range of programmes including
Examinations, project management on behalf of other donors, and its own grant
funded projects.
Accountabilities,
Responsibilities and Main Duties

Managing all enquiries including written, social
media and telephone enquiries in accordance to corporate standards and policies
·
Monitoring and evaluation of our Customer
Systems in line with British Council corporate standards.
·
Supporting the registration and administration
of exams and customers in line with corporate policies and standards
·
Monitoring and development of our Equal
Opportunities & Diversity policy in relation to customer service.

of the job:
To deliver a positive and timely Administrative and Customer
Care experience to British Council internal and external customers by
delivering an effective, efficient, quality driven and integrated response on
the full range of Council activities and services in Uganda. British Council
Uganda offers a full range of programmes including Examinations, project
management on behalf of other donors, and its own grant funded projects.

Closely support the Head of Partnerships &
Projects in providing Administration & Organisation support towards the
Projects Team
·
Manage customer enquiries through face to face,
email and digital platforms in line with the British Council corporate
standards and policies

Managing the front desk and customer care lines
by attending to all walk in customersl visitors.
