Title: Finance Manager

Background
Information:
Deloitte (Uganda) Limited is seeking to
recruit suitably qualified individuals for the positions of Finance Manager and
Claims Manager on behalf of our client, a General Insurance Company in Uganda
and also part of a Multi-national Group. Our client seeks to recruit
well-qualified, experienced, and mature professionals to head its; Finance and
Administration Functions and Claims Function.
Key
Responsibilities
·
Designing, implementing,
monitoring, and evaluation of financial and related systems of the company;
·
Ensuring that the budgeting
process is carried out within the given parameters and delivered in time;
·
Ensuring all financial reports
are produced accurately and delivered within the agreed timelines;
·
Ensuring efficient and
effective financial management;
·
Ensuring the efficiency and
effectiveness of the debt collection system is in place, and ensuring that a
credit policy is in place and is being adhered to;
·
Ensuring proper risk
management, internal controls, and compliance; General administration including
Human Resources management; Maintenance of sound business relationships with
key stakeholders; Ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of ICT operations in
the company; and
·
Active membership in the
company's disaster recovery plan and business continuity program.
Skills
and Qualifications
·
First University Degree,
preferably in Accounting;
·
Should Be a qualified
accountant with ACCA, or CIMA, or CPA, or its equivalent;
·
Have a minimum of five (5)
years post qualification experience;
·
Have thorough knowledge of
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
·
Have good written and oral
communication skills;
·
Have good interpersonal skills;
·
Demonstrate leadership ability;
·
Have excellent analytical and
abstract reasoning skills;
·
Have good team building skills;
and
·
Be an active member of the
Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (CPA (U)).
