Civil Society for the HEAL Initiative (Kabale Sub Office) and Logistics
Assistant (Kampala)
Job Summary
Reporting to the Project Manager - HEAL. the Field
Coordinator Governance and Civil Society is responsible for supporting partners
implementing the HEAL project in planning. implementation. monitoring and
documentation of Batwa Empowerment activities
Key Responsibilities include:
• Support and oversee planning and implementation of Batwa
Empowerment activities of the HEAL project through networking with NGO
partners.
plan and implement and monitor Batwa activities. Monitor sub-grants
to partner organizations. Identify and realise synergies across different
program themes for optimal use of resources and increased impact of approaches
and activities .
• Facilitate advocacy and capacity building of partners and
communities and collaborators focusing on influencing positive responses on the
needs and rights of the target communities through coordination of partners to
engage in advocacy and awareness creating on the rights and needs of the Batwa
Communities among many other roles.
Job and Person Specifications (Requirements)
• Bachelors degree in social sciences. development studies
or related field plus a post graduate qualification in a related field .
•
Minimum of three years experience of working in a partnership approach and
supporting civil society.
A strong Advocacy background and Lobbying skills
•
Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Good computer skills
(email. word processing. spread sheets) .
• A Certificate in this area and good
understanding of RBA and minority issues is crucial.
