 UNOC seeks to recruit an Expert on short-term contract terms to support with specialized expertise in the process of acquiring ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications for UNOC’s Integrated Management System.

JOB TITLE: ISO CERTIFICATION EXPERT

TENURE: FOUR (4) MONTHS CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT

REPORTS TO: HEAD, QUALITY, HEALTH, SAFETY, SECURITY AND ENVIRONMENT (QHSSE)

REF: EXTERNAL ADVERT NO. 4 OF 2023

JOB PURPOSE:

 TO SUPPORT UNOC IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN ISO (9001,14001,45001) INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (IMS).

About The Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) Limited

The Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) Limited was established under the Petroleum (Exploration, Development and Production) Act and the Petroleum (Refining, Conversion, Transmission and Midstream Storage) Act, both in 2013 and incorporated under the Companies Act, 2012. It is a limited liability company wholly owned by the Government of Uganda.

The overall function of UNOC is to handle the State’s commercial interests in the Oil and Gas industry and ensure that the resource is exploited sustainably.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

a) Conduct a comprehensive gap analysis of the UNOC’s current IMS and identify QHSE IMS processes required for ISO certification.

b) Close the gaps arising from the Gap analysis, develop and Implement QHSE processes/procedures required for the IMS.

c)Distribute QHSE documents generated.

d)Lead compliance reviews and other safety assessments and inspections.

e) Coordinate and follow up on Observations and Non-Conformances.

 

Qualifications & Experience

a) Bachelor’s Degree (Hons.) in any science discipline.

b) Certification in ISO IMS Lead Implementer or ISO IMS Auditor.

c)Minimum of 5 years experience in Minimum of 5 years experience in auditing quality management systems in reputable companies/organizations.

d)Must have served as the Lead End Auditor on at least three (3) ISO 9001, 14001 and auditor on at least three (3) ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 audits45001 audits in reputable companies/organizations.
