POST: DRIVER (GENERAL)

Number of Vacancy:  (2 position)

Salary Scale: UEPB6

Reports to: HR & Administration Executive

Responsible :for Nil

Organisation: Uganda Export Promotion Board(UEPB)

Background Information:

Uganda Export Promotion Board(UEPB) which is an equal opportunities employer is a semiautonomous

public agency set up by the Uganda Export Promotion Board Act 1996 under

the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives with the main objective of facilitating the

development, promotion and coordination of all export- related activities that lead to

export growth on a sustainable basis.

The primary functions of the Board are:

I. To provide trade and market information services

II. To promote and coordinate the development of exports

III. Provide trade promotional services

IV. Provide customised advisory services

V. Formulate and recommend to Government export plans, policies and strategies.

Key Functions

· Proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle

· Deliver mails

· Transport guests and staff on official duty

· Transport guests to events organised by the Board

· Report all vehicle defaults

· Report accidents to police

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS QUALIFICATIONS

Should be in possession of Uganda Ordinary Level Certificate Should have valid driving license of relevant class

EXPERIENCE

At least (5) five years of professional working experience in a reputable Public or Private organization.

· Basic mechanical knowledge and skills

· Interpersonal skills

· Communication

· Ethics and integrity

· Time management

· Physical and mental fitness
