Background Information:
Mengo
Hospital is the oldest Hospital in Uganda having been founded in 1897. It is a
Christian, Missionary founded, Private Not-For-Profit (PNFP) Hospital. It is
categorized as a General Hospital by government, but operationally it is a
referral Hospital. It has offered treatment to tens of thousands of people over
the years. The once Missionary Hospital simple structures, developed into the
present-day 300-bed hospital, spread over 22 acres of land at Namirembe Hill.
Job summary
(a)
Supervise the Hospital Dental Laboratory
(b)
Designing, fabricating and fitting dental prosthetic appliances for patients
including dentures, crowns and bridges
Minimum qualifications, experience
and skills required
(a)
Bachelors Degree in Dental Laboratory Technology (DLT) or the equivalent from a
recognized Institution
(b) At least 3 years’ relevant working experience
(c) Must be
registered and licensed by the Allied Health Professionals Council
