Background Information:
Mengo
Hospital is the oldest Hospital in Uganda having been founded in 1897. It is a
Christian, Missionary founded, Private Not-For-Profit (PNFP) Hospital. It is
categorized as a General Hospital by government, but operationally it is a
referral Hospital. It has offered treatment to tens of thousands of people over
the
years. The once Missionary Hospital simple structures, developed into the
present-day 300-bed hospital, spread over 22 acres of land at Namirembe Hill.
Job summary
Deputizes
the Hospital Administrator in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating,
supervising, monitoring, controlling and evaluating the Hospital administration
and support services function in accordance with the established Hospital
administrative policies and procedures.
Minimum qualifications, experience
and skills required
(a) A Bachelors Degree in Hospital and
Health services Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or
Social Sciences, plus a postgraduate qualification in Management.
(b) Must be computer literate.
(c) Additional training and qualification in Law
is a competitive advantage.
(d) 5 years’ relevant working experience
in administration at Officer Level, preferably in an NGO, private sector or
private health care setting
(e) Should have skills in project management
(f) Must be a person with integrity, of not more
than 40 years
