The GBV Case Worker (GBV-CW)
is responsible for ensuring that Safe
Spaces are safe space for those seeking
support.
The GBV- CW will provide confidential
case management and psychosocial support, as well as referrals to other service providers as needed.
The GBV- CW will work with
vulnerable women and girls, those at
risk of GBV, and survivors of GBV.
The GBV-CW is usually the first point of contact
for those in need.
Job and Person
Specification (Requirements)
·
Minimum of a Diploma in Social Sciences,
·
Social work and administration, Development studies, gender studies,
community psychology,
·
Adult and community education, social sciences, Education, or any other
relevant academic discipline.
·
A degree in the above fields is an
added advantage.
·
Knowledge of GBV prevention and response.
·
Knowledge of case management principles.
·
Strong case management experience
based on survivor-centered approach.
·
Experience working with refugees and
other groups.
·
Familiarity with GBV data collection
system and safe and ethical guidelines.
·
Ability to work with both adult and child survivors.
