Position Title:Medical Records Assistant (MRA)

Duty Station: 1 based in Eastern region, 1 based in West Nile region

BACKGROUND:

Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Uganda (Baylor -Uganda) headquartered at Mulago Hospital, is a private not for profit NGO that provides: HIV/AIDS care, treatment and prevention services; maternal child health services; Health Professional Training and Clinical Research.
Baylor-Uganda works with the MoH and District leadership in the supported regions to strengthen health systems for improved delivery of HIV/AIDS services. Jointly with Pepal, we are looking for experienced, committed and hard working individuals for the role positions below.
Medical Records Assistant (MRA) (2 positions, 1 based in Eastern region, 1 based in West Nile region)
Role definition:
Conduct data collection, analysis and generate monthly/quarterly reports then hold feedback meetings with health facility stakeholders to help them adjust their management practices (results-based management system).
Job specifications
The job holder should have:
 (1) a Degree in Library and Information Science with additional training in Records Management, Data Management, IT, Computer Science and any other relevant degree (2) at least 2 years of work experience in medical data collection and analysis with a reputable international NGO, and government or donor representatives
(3) have key personal competencies in teamwork and communication skills, networking and partnership skills
 (4) must be dynamic, persuasive and convincing, self-motivated and able to demonstrate high initiative
 (5) must have excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Access, MS Excel, STATA, SPSS, EPiDATA
 (6) comprehensive knowledge of computer data input equipment and error resolution in data entry
 (7) must maintain confidentiality
(8) must be 25-35 years of age
 (9) knowledge of local languages is a plus.
