JOB PURPOSE:
To provide skilled work in the installation, repair, operation, and
maintenance of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (AC) equipment and systems
at various stations of the Bank.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Carries out preventive maintenance of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
equipment and systems.
· Repairs faulty Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment and Plant.
· Carries out routine checks and logs of the status of Refrigeration and Air
Conditioning equipment.
· Requisitions for materials required for the smooth operation of the
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment.
· Assists in verification of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning spares
purchased/supplied.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES
· Ensure that the Air Conditioning system is ON at the right time.
· Trouble-shoot Air Conditioning equipment malfunctions, diagnose problems
and perform maintenance on Refrigeration & Air Conditioning equipment.
· Manage the safety of the Air Conditioning Plant rooms and workshops
· Make recommendations to replace equipment if expected cost to repair
exceeds possible replacement cost.
· Make minor installation decisions
· Perform regular cleaning of the equipment.
· Maintain job worksheets detailing nature of assignment, parts utilized,
time expended and type of work performed.
· Collect data for reports.

· Cost effective and efficient maintenance procedures
· Efficient and effective Refrigeration and Air Conditioning system
· Properly installed Refrigeration & Air Conditioning equipment
· Well functioning Refrigeration & Air Conditioning equipment
· Timely repairs of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning equipment
· Submission of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning monthly reports
· Well maintained safety standards in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
QUALIFICATION:
§ An Ordinary Diploma in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning with 5 years
experience in Heavy Central Air Conditioning Plant.
§ A Higher Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is an added
advantage.
EXPERIENCE:
§ 5 years experience in heavy Central Air Conditioning Plant.
AGE: Should be 30-35 years
REQUIRED SKILLS
· Mature, energetic and quick-witted
· Ability to work independently and for long hours.
· Computer skills in MS word and excel.
JOB CLASSIFICATION:

Has power to financially commit the bank in case of emergency repairs to a
limit of one third of the unit imprest in consultation with Services
Maintenance Engineer.
(c) Interacts with: Supervisors Officer in Charge of Mechanical unit
Officer in Charge of Electronics/Electrical unit
