Job Summary:
The position holder will be the academic and administrative head of the Mildmay Uganda School of Medical Laboratory Technology and will manage it in a manner that ensures academic excellence, efficient use of resources and the welfare of students/staff, in line with Mildmay Uganda, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Sports and relevant national/international policies and guidelines.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Laboratory Technology/Medical Laboratory Sciences with post graduate diploma in Medical Education or diploma in Education Or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology with Bachelors Degree in Medical Education
He/she must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals’ Council with a current APL and have a minimum of 3 years experience in teaching. Experience in managing an academic programme is an added advatage.
Other qualities are:
·         Good communication and interpersonal skills,
·         Proficiency in various MS office packages and working knowledge of English and local language(s) are crucial.
·          Hard working, trust-worthy,
·         and holding the highest levels of integrity and confi dentiality.
·          Must be flexible, reliable, able to work under pressure;
·          and in sympathy with the Christian values of Mildmay Uganda.
·         Evidence of a non-judgemental approach regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality and lifestyle is critical.
