Send a Cow is an established and innovative charity that enables poor
farmers in Africa to become self-reliant by providing them with livestock,
training and advice. We have been helping families lift themselves out of
poverty for 25 years and plan to help thousands more in the future.
Since 1988, international development charity Send a Cow (SAC), has been
giving African families the hope and means grow enough food to eat, sell their
produce and develop small businesses that last. By providing livestock, seeds,
training and support to families in seven countries in Africa, we are enabling
millions of people to leave poverty behind for good. Our mission is to give communities and
families the hope and the means to secure their own future form the land.
Simon Barnes, our new CEO is leading SAC through an exciting time of growth
and expansion. SAC has been working in Uganda for over 25 years and is now
looking to build on our success by growing and developing both our established
programmes while seeking new and innovative opportunities.
Due to this expansion, our existing Director in Uganda is moving to a new
group role, which means we are now seeking to appoint a Country Director for
this challenging and exciting opportunity. We want to build on your existing
senior leadership experience, NGO background and a track record of achieving
results to develop you to be all that you can be.V
In this role you will be the leader of all our projects in Uganda, enabling
you to demonstrate vision, practice leadership, deliver strategic thinking and
financial acumen enabling you to represent and promote SAC at high levels.
