Position Title: Assistant Registrar,Jobs in Uganda,

Number of vacancies : Four (4)
Applications to be filled in triplicate on JSC or PSC Form 3 (1972) should
be submitted to the Secretary, Judicial Service Commission, Plot 6/7 Parliament
Avenue, Farmers House, Ground Floor, Kampala to be received not later than 30th
April 2014.

Qualifications:
Candidates should be Ugandans who possess an LLB Degree from a recognised
University/Institution And a Post graduate Diploma in Legal Practice for Law
Development Centre.
Working Experience:
At least three (3) years experience as Chief Magistrate.
Duties and Responsibility
1. Assists the Registrar and/or Deputy Registrar in the administrative
duties of the assigned Registry.
2. Performs judicial functions within his/her jurisdiction in a given
Court.
3. Makes monthly reports on the positions of the cases inthe Courts of
Judicature.
4. Assists the Registrar in the management of Court premises,
equipments/tools and other logistics.
5. Plans and manages court sessions in consultation with the Registrar.
6. Supervises staff directly under him/her.
7. Handles any other work that may be assigned to him/her by the immediate
supervisor.

Applications should bear the title of the post applied for as well as the
reference number specified against the vacancy.
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an LLB degree from a recognized
University/Institution plus a post graduate diploma in Legal practice from the
Law Development Center, Kampala Uganda or its equivalent.
Any relevant advanced/ post graduate qualification (s) will be of added
advantage.

accompanied by:
• 2 samples of your professional papers/publications
– including sample judgments (for Judges), written submissions filed before
courts of law (for Advocates), or journal articles.
• 10 recent passport size photographs of your face.
• 3 names and contacts of your professional referees.
• 3 names and contacts of your character referees.
• A copy of the latest written Declaration Form of Income, Assets and
Liabilities to the Inspectorate of Government, IGG. (where applicable).
• A copy of your current practicing certificate (for Advocates)
