Brief Company Profile:
Air Uganda is Ugandan carrier with
its hub at Entebbe International Airport. Air Uganda operates flights to over

Role purpose:
To assist in running the company’s
financial system on the SAP platform.
To prepare periodic financial statements, including profit and loss
accounts, balance sheets, budgets, cash flows, analyze variances and
commentaries on the accounts.
To prepare, develop and analyze key financial information to ensure that
the airline management makes well-informed decisions to ensure future
stability, growth and profitability.
Scope: Preparation and posting of financial transactions into SAP.

Reconciling passenger revenue, cargo
charter and preparing month and journal entries.
·
Reconcile cashbooks, balance sheet accounts, including deferred revenue,
CAAs liability, on a monthly basis and resolve any reconciling items on a
timely basis.
·
Assist with budgeting and
forecasting, variance analysis for assigned accounts;
·
prepare statistical reports on a
regular basis for management use; ensure internal controls are effectively
maintained for revenue related areas;
·
assist with set up and tracking of revenue accounting for new marketing
initiatives;
·
prepare periodic financial statements,
including profit and loss accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and
commentaries;
·
ensure spending is kept in line with
the budget;
·
inform key strategic decisions and
formulate business strategies;
·
analyze financial performance and so contribute to medium and long-term
business planning/forecasts;
·
interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers;
·
and liaise with other function managers to put the finances and accounts in
context.
Requirements and Minimum qualifications:
·
ACCA, CPA, CIMA or any other recognized professional accounting
qualification, or BCom/BBA degree from a reputable university;
·
minimum of 4 years working experience in a similar role;
·
proficient with Microsoft Office
Systems;
·
must be highly detail oriente and organized;
·
excellent communication and
analytical skills;
·
experience in SAP or any similar ERP
package and airline industry is an added advantage.
