Position Title: Specialist – Internal Medicine (1 position)

are looking to fill the positions of Specialists in the area of Pediatrics (1)
and Internal Medicine (1), reporting to the Head of Medical Services
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
MMED Internal Medicine or Equivalent
from a Recognized University/College
EXPERIENCE:
1 year post qualification (MMED or equivalent). Must be in active clinical
practice since qualification
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Manage all Internal medicine referrals
• Run regular outpatient clinics in Internal Medicine
• Look after inpatients admitted under their care
• Collaborate with other Physicians in ensuring 24hr daily coverage of the
Department
• Review consults coming from other clinical departments and advise the
referring clinicians accordingly
• Supervise Medical officers, SHOs and other junior staff under their care
• Conduct regular chart and mortality audits and advise management on how
to improve quality of care
• Coordinate CMEs in the department
• Coordinate Multidisciplinary meetings in the Department
• Develop plans for expansion of the services in the department and advise
management accordingly.
• Ensure observance of ethical practice in the department
