Position Title: Marketing and Sales Officer

Background Information:
National Enterprise Corporation was established in 1989 by the Act of
Parliament soon after the
NRA/NRM liberation war as the commercial arm of the
Army, with the view of redeploying and providing gainful employment to soldiers
who were involved in the war and produce goods and services for the army, with
profit being used to improve the welfare of soldiers.
Job Summary:
The Marketing and Sales Officer will
primarily steer the drawing up and implementation of all marketing and sales
programmes for the group's products and services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Formulates and implements
marketing strategies that should enhance optimum sales revenue for goods and
services produce by the company and submit proposals to the line General
Manager for approval.
· Carry out market research
activities, gets and analyzes and advises management on the competitive
strategies to be adopted by the company.
· Do competitor intelligence
analysis and advises management on the competitive strategies to be adopted by
the company.
· Draws up and implements
publicity and promotional activities, to improve the image of the company and
secure customer confidence in the company products and services.
· Design, implement and
control sales order systems to ensure complete and flow of customer information
to relevant departments for action.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The applicant should posses
a good university degree in commerce, marketing or business administration with
a bias should be in marketing and business development.
· Membership to the chartered
Institute of marketing or the equivalent or an advances degree in business
administration, management, or public administration with a bias in human
resource management/ planning and/ or marketing
· A minimum of five years'
experience in a busy profit making organization as a marketing officer or
manager.
