Background Information:
University Research Co., LLC (URC), a US-based public health
organization working in Uganda since 2005, is implementing the USAID-funded
Strengthening Uganda’s Systems for Treating AIDS Nationally (SUSTAIN) project.
The project supports delivery of quality HIV prevention, treatment, care and
laboratory services at selected referral and general hospitals. URC is seeking
qualified candidates to fill positions of TB/HIV PROGRAM OFFICER based in
Kampala.
Job summary:
The TB/HIV Program Officer is responsible for assisting the
project Senior TB/HIV QI Advisor in collaboration with the SUSTAIN technical
team to plan, coordinate and monitor the implementation of all project
components of TB care at supported facilities including TB/HIV, Childhood TB
management, drug resistant TB surveillance and management, TB Infection
control, DOT strengthening, TB recording and reporting and the application of
continuous quality improvement (CQI) approaches to improve TB care.
