Background
Information:
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission, and
under the direct supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, the incumbent will
be responsible for accurate and timely data encoding and all other related
activities such as data reconciliation, receipt of information, data processing,
and generating forms and reports at the Migration Health Assessment Center
(MHAC) Kampala.
1. Generating Hold-Alert list from MiMOSA on a daily basis
for the Chief Nurse
2. Keeping records of quality control for X-ray reading discrepancies
3. Running queries on MiMOSA to ensure accuracy in Data
Processing
4. Receiving and importing XMIF data to MiMOSA
5. Receiving new medical forms from all agencies and applicants
6. Preparing monthly/quarterly/yearly reports and statistics
for submission to DaProFo.
7. Initializing and printing blank medical forms for applicants.
8. Generating and issuing lists for counseling, laboratory
tests, physical examination, vaccinations, Mantoux test, CXR and other appointment
lists as required.
9. Preparing and printing consent and vaccination forms on a
daily basis
10. Assisting with taking photos and uploading them on MiMOSA
and eMedcial systems.
11. Ensuring timely return of all completed medical forms to
the respective Embassies, High Commissions and Agencies including organizing
courier delivery for medical forms destined overseas.
12. Preparing data on medical conditions, vaccinations and
disseminating to the pre-departure and medical staff
13. Responding to inquiries on email regarding medical services,
fees and bookings
14. Filing correspondence letters from Embassies, Agencies,
service providers and delivery notes
15. Assisting MHAC users with problems resulting from Mimosa
and other computer/printer errors
16. Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Desirable
qualifications, education, experience and competencies:
1. Diploma in Information Management Systems or its equivalent.
2. Minimum of four (4) years relevant work experience.
3. Extensive experience in computer data entry in a busy
institution preferably medical is an advantage.
4. Typing speed: at least 60 wpm
5. Able to work independently, effectively and harmoniously
with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds at all
levels.
6. Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy, attention to
detail and confidentiality in performing responsibilities.
7. Strong computer skills especially on MicrosoftbWord,
Excel and Access.
8. Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.
9. Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal
relationship skills
