Background
Compuscan CRB is a licensed credit reference bureau in
Uganda appointed by Bank of Uganda and regulated under the Financial
Institutions Act (Credit Reference Bureau) Regulations, 2005. As a BOU licensed
organisation Compuscan must adhere to regulations and laws in the delivery of
its services in the country.
Compuscan also services the needs of the borrower in Uganda
to ensure their rights to fair credit reporting are upheld. In regards to these
two primary considerations Compuscan is
looking to appoint a competent member of its management team to lead its risk
and compliance department as well as attend to managing the team of information
integrity consultants.
Compuscan CRB is looking to appoint a multi skilled person
that is legally qualified, has experience in banking and credit and shows
detailed knowledge of systems and procedures, with small team management
skills.
The applicant must, as
a key function, attend to the production of compliance audits with minimal
assistance and supervision and must be able to produce executive board level
reports on any risk areas that may be relevant to the organisation or its clients.
Legal work is related to contract drafting, contract renewals
and management.
The legal work also involves being conversant with reading
CRB legislation and regulations in Uganda to ensure compliance is addressed as
well as being conversant with other countries CRB laws to stay abreast of
international developments in credit bureau legislation.
The successful person to be appointed will be a champion for
borrower’s rights, must be able to demonstrate strong client relationships with
current employers and should have received several positive employee
achievement citations over their career that can be confirmed.
This is an exciting career opportunity with Uganda’s only
credit bureau that is licensed to deal with all BOU regulated institutions in
the country.
