Background
Information:
Case Medical Centre is a private health care facility/
hospital located at plot 69/ 71 Buganda Road with a goal of establishing a high
quality one-stop medical centre in the country, offering specialist services.
The Centre provides a wide range of Medical Services which include treatment
for out-patient and in-patients, specialized and surgical services, and intensive
care therapy.
The Centre is inviting applications from suitably qualified
persons to fill the position of Finance Manager:
The duties and
responsibilities of the Finance Manager
will include the following:
• to write and maintain proper books of accounts;
• to prepare and produce final accounts;
• providing and interpreting financial information;
• monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting
future trends;
• analyzing change and advising accordingly;
• formulating strategic and long-term business plans;
• researching and reporting on factors influencing business
performance;
• analyzing competitors and market trends;
• developing financial management mechanisms that minimize
financial risk;
• conducting reviews and evaluations for costreduction
opportunities;
• managing a company’s financial accounting, monitoring and
reporting systems;
• liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is
carried out;
• developing external relationships with appropriate
contacts e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as
the Uganda
Revenue Authority and the National Social Security Fund;
• producing accurate financial reports to specific
deadlines;
• managing budgets;
• supervising all staff in the finance department;
• Keeping the Hospital abreast of changes in financial
regulations and legislation.
Requirements:
The Finance Manager is expected to posses the following
competencies and skills:
• B.Com (Hons) degree with the accounting option or
Bachelors Degree in Business Studies, majoring in accounts;
• Full membership of CPA is a must.
• 4 years of working experience, 2 of which must have been
in a financial management position;
• Good writing and communication skills;
• Must be conversant with the basic computer accounting
programs like Microsoft excel, access and Navision software
