Information;
Build Africa Uganda an International NGO operating in Uganda
seeks to recruit one suitably qualified person for the position of Area Program
Manager – Masindi area office.
Main Responsibilities
The Job holder will be expected to continually observe the
day to day effectiveness of programme delivery, noting and reporting any areas
where improvements are possible and making sure improvements are made.
As a member of BAU’s senior management team, the post holder
will play a key role in the overall leadership and direction of BAU, acting as
a role model for staff.
The post holder will also contribute to the development and
implementation of BA’s strategic plan and will lead programe design initiatives
at the field level.
Person Specifications
- A relevant Master’s degree from a recognized university
with at least 5 years demonstrated experience in implementing development
projects OR a relevant Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years in implementing
Development Projects.
- Experience working with an International NGO, implementing
education, Livelihoods, HIV/AIDs and Gender programs is an added advantage.
- Should be comfortable working in an environment that
espouses thinking outside the box, constant questioning the status quo and
continuously improving programs.
- Should be very strong on line Management, demonstrating a
supportive approach, an emphasis on developing all staff to their full capacity
and being prepared to address poor performance.
- Experience of developing, maintaining and overseeing
project design, monitoring and evaluation frameworks and KPIs.
- A person of high integrity that will model BAU’s core values.
