Background Information
Katalemwa Cheshire Home (KCH) is a development organization
established in 1970 and is committed to rehabilitate children with disabilities
between 0-18 years.
KCH focuses on both
medical and social rehabilitation as well as provision of appliances/assistive
devices to clients. KCH also promotes childrens’ rights to quality education
and offers livelihood programmes to enable CWDs and their families live
independent lives.
KCH is looking for competent people to fill the following
positions located at its offices in Mpererwe-Kampala.
1.
Position
Title: Finance Manager
2
Reporting: to the
Executive Director, the Finance
Manager will do the
following:
Oversees the financial and accounting
activities in consultation with the Executive Director
Maintains and enforces compliance with
internal control systems
Prepares budgets and monthly management
and financial reports for KCH to guide heads of departments
Ensures that relevant documents for
impending audits are readily available
Perform any other official duties that
may be assigned from time to time by the Executive Director or his/ her
designate.
Job Requirements:
Minimum qualification of a degree in
accounting, though accounting professional qualification e.g ACCA,CIMA,CPA
will be an added advantage
Ability to work with spreadsheets at
ease
Navision software knowledge will be an
added advantage
At least three years experience in an
accounting environment/job
Ability to learn first the systems
of the organization
Ability to generate accurate and timely
report very vital.
.Position Title;
Occupational and Physio Therapists
who will offer occupational and physio therapy to clients to
achieve a level of body functioning in a physical setting.
Job requirements:
A higher diploma in Occupational or
Physio therapy from a recognized medical institution
At least three years of practical
experience
Good interpersonal skills
Navision software knowledge will be an
added advantage
High ability to learn and use of
a computer
.Position Title:
Orthopaedic Officers:
Who will diagonise, prescribe and offer orthopaedic treatment
to clients, manage club foot using ponsetti method
Job Requirements:
An ordinary diploma in Orthopaedic
Medicine from a recognised medical institution
At least three years of practical
experience
Good interactional skills
Navision software knowledge will be an
added advantage
High ability to learn and use of a
computer
Position Title:
Nurse
who will diagonise psychiatric conditions, dress wounds and
offer counselling services.
Job Requirements.
A certificate or diploma in
comprehensive or psychiatric nursing
Excellent communication skills
Good counselling skills
.Position Title:
Orthopaedic Technologists
who will produce and fabricate assistive rehabilitative devises
including but not limited to wheel chairs, splints, special seats and standing
frames
Job Requirements.
A diploma in orthopaedic Technology
from a recognised institution
At least three years of
practical experience
Ability to work under pressure and with
less supervision
Navision software knowledge will be an
added advantage
High ability to learn and use of a
computer
