Applications are invited
from suitably qualified Ugandans for the following posts which exist in the
Public Service of Tororo
Municipal Council
Application forms Public
Service Form No. 3 (Revised 2008) to be submitted in triplicate are obtainable
from the Secretaries
District Service Commissions
or Public Service Commission, Kampala. Applications must bear the title of the
post as well as
the reference number
specified against the vacancy. Serving officers must route their applications
through their Heads
of Department who should be
informed of the closing date to avoid delay. Three (3) photocopies of
certificates together with
other relevant documents and
three (3) colour recent passport size photographs must be attached to the
applications. In all cases, qualified women and persons with disabilities
areencouraged to apply.
(i) Qualifications
“O” Level Education plus a
Diploma in Law with formal
training in policing and
Criminal Investigation activities from a
recognized institution.
(ii) Experience
Work Experience of six years
in law enforcement activities.
(iii) Competences

skills;
• Communicating effectively;
• Assertiveness and self
confidence;
• Ethics and Integrity;
• Time management; and
• Physical fitness.
Key Functions
i. Apprehending and
prosecuting offenders;
ii. Protecting life and
property of the community;
iii. Ensuring support to the
revenue/tax collection personnel;
iv. Assisting staff during
their inspection and arresting defaulters;
and
v. Sensitizing the public
about their role in combating crime.
