Reporting: To Environment Health & Safety Officer,

Key Result Areas:

*Maintenance of ETP to ensure continuous and reliable plant operation.

*Comply with discharge regulations when treating effluent.

*Prepare records of effluent treated.

*Prepare a monthly summary of performance.

*Make sure emergency response plans are in place to cope with situations requiring immediate action.

*Maintain the cleanliness of the ETP.

*Liaise with production units for effluent treatment.

*Adhere to the health and safety and QMS guidelines at all times.

*Conform to environmental management system requirements.

*Conform to environmental management system requirements

*Any other tasks assigned by the EHS Officer

 

Educational Qualifications and Experience

*Uganda Advanced Certificate in Science subjects preferably Chemistry and Physics or its equivalent.

*.1 year relevant experience in a manufacturing plant.

 

Skills & Professional Attributes Required:

*Good communication skills including reading skills.

* An aptitude for math.

*Mechanical ability.

*Physical strength and stamina.

*The ability to work in high places.

*The ability to get along well with co-workers.

*The ability to keep up to date with changing technology.

*Creativity.

*The ability to do precision work.
