seeks to recruit suitably qualified candidate to
fill the vacant positions mentioned below:
Job Title: SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES
Reports to : AREA MANAGER
Organisation:National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC)
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Ensure that the Human Resources employed meet the
short, medium and long term objectives and that every employee’s potential and
energies are directed to improve the overall performance of the company.
KEY RESULT AREAS
1. Develop, review, communicate and implement
acceptable human resources strategies,
policies, procedures, practical plans and
budgets, based on the best practices.
2. Coordinate recruitment and selection
activities and ensuring that new employees are
properly oriented as well as carrying out
orientation of other staff as well.
3. Undertake effective implementation of the
terms and conditions of service, welfare
policies and procedures, and disciplinary
policies and procedures.
4. Provide advice and guidance to all employees
on the interpretation of the terms and
conditions of service and on any other human
resource policies.
5. Liaise with heads of departments and line
Managers in identifying training needs and
formulates annual company-wide training
requirements.
6. Develop and maintain an accurate Human
Resource Information Database.
7. Updating and maintaining job descriptions for
all positions.
8. Maintain cordial industrial relations in the
company as a way of enhancing high
productivity.
9. Provide technical support to Line Managers in
introducing and maintaining
performance management systems in the company and
ensures that the company
wholly embraces performance-management principles
and practices.
10. Develop and coordinate performance appraisal
of employees and ensuring it is fairly
carried out and identifying their training and
development needs.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource
Management.
• Post graduate training in the relevant field
will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of four (4) years’ post qualification
experience.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
• High integrity.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
• Knowledge of labour laws of Uganda.
• Proficiency in Human Resources Management
Principles and Procedures.
• Ready to work long hours.
• Must be a mature and seasoned professional
manager who is able to interact and coordinate activities well with staff at
all levels of the company.
Age: below 40 years.
