Job Summary

Ø  Responsible for managing the resource allocation for all projects and guiding the engineering and quality assurance team to achieve the business goals. Primary responsibilities include implementing a tower inspection and remediation program, determining the lifecycle of the tower infrastructure, and maximizing the capacity of the tower infrastructure.

Ø  Work with the engineering team to identify rectification and remediation steps to ensure the integrity of

Ø  tower infrastructure. Responsible for ensuring that the products or services the organization provides are consistent and meet both external and internal customers’ requirements and specifications. Coordinates all activities required to meet quality standards and oversees the implementation of software test standards.

Ø  Provides support in executing test plans based on the technical and functional requirements of the business.

Responsibilities

Ø  Formulate Quality Assurance compliance objectives to the targets required.

Ø  Responsible for carrying out structural analysis for telecommunications tower Responsible for tower mapping and ensuring tower structures are within safety limits.

Ø  Responsible for certifying the integrity of both legacy and new telecommunication towers both civil and steel perspective

Ø  Manage the entire tower infrastructure lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.

Ø  Developing, Revising, Managing, and assisting with multiple internal and external processes, and procedures including structural engineering, regulatory, zoning permitting, construction, finance, and integration.

Ø  Provide daily or weekly reports to management detailing project performance, the life cycle of the tower infrastructure, and recommendations relating to replacement and remediation.

Ø  Develop and maintain a detailed tower infrastructure database.

Ø  Drive and ensure the quality of all test plans.

Ø  Ensure that all test plans adhere to software test guidelines and standards.

Ø  Review and establish new metrics for assessing software quality and evaluate results as defined by the Quality Assurance team.

Ø  Define quality standards for the business and ensure they are delivered and maintained.

Ø  Performs job coordination and planning functions such as reviewing schedules to identify job intervals, addressing material issues, evaluating skill requirements, assessing resource requirements versus availability, approving quality plans, assisting with site surveys, coordinating job/customer visits, working with customers, etc.

Ø  Ensuring non-conformances to the requirements of the specification are reported and appropriate corrective action executed and recorded.

Ø  Mentor, coach and train direct reports.

Ø  Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.

Ø  Oversee the implementation of tower/foundation strengthening and tower extension

Ø  Ensure the integrity of telecommunication tower infrastructure.

Ø  Provide detailed status updates of all active projects, including overall product quality, outstanding product difficulties, and milestones achieved.

Ø  Ensure that business requirements for each project are verified with business users, project managers, and developers.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Person Specification

Education, Training, Skills & Experience

Qualifications

Ø  University Degree in Civil engineering

Ø  Professional Certified Engineers to certify telecommunications tower structures

Ø  Knowledge on Microsoft or UNIX platforms or Oracle ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) applications environment

Education and Experience

Ø  Minimum five (5) years experience in telecom infrastructure quality assurance working on Microsoft or UNIX platforms or Oracle ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) applications environment

Ø  Experience in telecommunication tower business and operations

Ø  Experience in writing and implementing test plans

Ø  Experience with relational databases and query tools is a plus

Ø  Leadership skills

Ø  Partner governance skills

Ø  Thorough understanding of testing methodologies

Ø  Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work closely with team members on projects

Ø  Excellent written and verbal skills

Ø  Extensive knowledge of test planning, test plan generation, test matrix definition, and test case specification/definition

Ø  In-depth knowledge of Mercury Interactive testing tools including Quality Center, Win Runner, Load Runner, and Test Director

Ø  Conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies

Ø  Excellent organizational skills

Ø  Detail- oriented with the ability to maintain a high level of quality

Ø  Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Ø  The incumbent must be flexible as there may be workweeks that require more than 40 hours to ensure the position's expectations and responsibilities are met.

 

Environment

Ø  Approximately 90% performed in a climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Approximately 5-10% of travel will be required in support of the position's responsibilities.

Ø  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.

Ø  While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 12kgs.
