Governance, Education, Child Poverty, Health and Nutrition in Development and

the North, Rwenzori, North-Eastern, West Nile and Central regions of Uganda. We

Role Purpose:

The Job Holder will take responsibility for planning, implementation,
monitoring and reporting on Basic education with ECCD core program within the designated
sub counties to promote safe, supportive and enabling school and community
environments for vulnerable children in hard to reach communities of Uganda.

S/he is expected to implement the BE program in a manner that promotes
integration with other core programs of Sponsorship and cross cutting themes
such as gender, disability, child Protection and rights programming.

The Job Holder also implements the
BE program in collaboration with Sub county stakeholders and ensure meaningful
active participation of Children.

The post holder may be called upon
as and when necessary to support the emergency team in cases of humanitarian
crisis.

Qualification and
Experience;
Essential
·
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or
higher in education and related discipline. Post graduate training in either BE
or Monitoring and evaluation, Education Systems Strengthening, Early child hood
development, Gender etc. will be of added advantage.
·
At least 3 years progressive
experience in planning and implementation of Basic education or ECD programmes.
·
Ability to speak the local
language Luganda fluently is a strong requirement.
·
Ability to ride a motorcycle
(Honda XL 125).
·
The candidate must be having a
valid riding permit and willing to ride a motorcycle.
Desirable
·
Demonstrable financial, planning
and budget management skills a MUST.
·
Ability to intervene with crisis
management or troubleshooting as necessary.
·
Highly developed interpersonal
and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching
