JOB ROLE:
To Monitor UCDA programmes’ implementation, and establish programme
relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability in accordance with
established guidelines and procedures.

(UCDA)
Background Information:
Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) is established as a public
Authority,
and it is mandated to promote and oversee the coffee industry by supporting
research, promoting production, controlling coffee quality, and improving the
marketing of coffee in order to optimize foreign exchange earnings for the
country and payments to farmers.
UCDA’s Vision is “A sustainable coffee industry with high stakeholder
value for social economic transformation” and its mission is “To facilitate
increase in quality coffee production, productivity, and consumption”.
KEY RESULT AREAS
1. Prepare monitoring and evaluation plans clearly prescribing
indicators to be monitored and evaluated, source of data, and frequency of data
collection and monitoring and evaluation roles.
2. Design appropriate survey instruments and data collection forms for
monitoring and evaluation of the Authority’s activities.
3. Plan and conduct regular monitoring of programmes to ensure
achievement of set targets and outputs.
4. Conduct surveys to establish the impact of the Authority’s outputs
overtime.
5. Establish and maintain baseline data on the various initiatives
undertaken by the Authority for Monitoring and Evaluation purposes.
6. Contribute to strategies and programs to strengthen the monitoring
and evaluation capacity of UCDA Departments / Directorates.
7. Promote learning, feedback, and knowledge sharing on achievements
and lessons learned among the UCDA officials and stakeholders.
8. Provide periodic reports on activity implementation and submit them
to the Supervisor for review and guidance.
9. To carry out any other duties that may be assigned by Management
from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
The ideal candidate must have;
1. Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Quantitative, Agricultural and
Rural Economics), OR Statistics, OR Business Administration, OR Social
Sciences.
2. A post graduate diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation.
3. 5 years’ relevant working experience in monitoring and evaluation
in a reputable organisation.

4. Report Writing skills,
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
