Organizational Profile

Dr. Ambrosoli Memorial Hospital a 271 bed capacity, Catholic founded PNFP Institution of Gulu Arch diocese in Northern Uganda, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the posts specified herein.

Job Summary:

Responsible for planning and overall functioning of medical and paramedical services at the hospital Directs and supervises the medical sphere which includes wards, OPD, Theatre, Clinics, and other diagnostic departments Ensures and propagates professional ethics and code of conduct, efficiency, and discipline by all clinical and paramedical staff.

Qualification Experience and skills:

I. Should have Degree in medicine and Surgery (MBChB) and specialization/masters preferably in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or Internal Medicine with a relevant post graduate qualification in Health Service management/Public Health or equivalent from a recognized institution.

II. Must be registered and licensed by the Medical and Dental Practitioners Council of Uganda.

III. At least 5 years working experience in Clinical practice, with managerial experience of Health Services management (or hospital) at a senior management level as well as administrative management responsibility (added advantage).

IV. Should possess good leadership skills including communication and interpersonal skills, assertive with ability to direct, coach and develop clinical and paramedical staff.
