The Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) is seeking talented, experienced and highly competitive individuals for the Managing Director position at the national broadcaster.

Job Description :             

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and recommend short and long-term goals, strategies and objectives to the Board to ensure profitability and the long-term success of the Corporation.

• Develop annual operating forecasts of revenue, expenditures, operational results and financial performance.

• Ensure that appropriate personnel and systems are in place for the integrity and adequacy of the Corporation’s internal control and management information systems.

• Ensure that all operations and activities of the Corporation are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, the Corporation‘s Code of Business Ethics, good Corporate Governance principles and practices.

Skill Set :            

Key Requirements:

 • Post-graduate qualification in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, Media Management or Law.

• At least 10 (ten) years’ experience; seven (7) of which have been at senior management level in a reputable, profitable organization

• Must have vast broadcasting, media and communication experience.
