Organizational Profile
Straight Talk Foundation (STF) is an indigenous communication NGO operating
nationally in Uganda by working through print, radio and face to face
communication. Its programs and interventions target adolescents as its primary
audience, while parents, teachers and caregivers are its secondary audience.
STF also addresses Climate change, Environmental protection and Livelihoods
development.
The role of the position:
To support the productio: of print materials in line with STF strategies.
Key Responsibilities
·
Write stories for STF’s
publications in line wit STF’s house style and time-lines,
·
Interview STF target audience on
a wide range c development/ health areas,
·
Research newspaper topics
including fact-checkin the information before publishing,
·
Build contacts to maintain a flow
of informatio: relevant to STF target audience,
·
Work closely with the editorial
team, photo graphers, editors and designers in the productio: of STF
publications,
·
Participate in quality assurance
activities for ST print materials such as pretests,
·
Write reports to give account of
all tasks assignee
Experience, Education and qualifications:
Minimum of a diploma in Journalism from a recognized institution. 3 years
relevant work experience in a busy media house. Willingness to travel.
Excellent writing skills and good interpersonal skills, gooc
conceptualisation and multitasking abilities.
