Organizational Profile:
StraightTalk Foundation (STF) is a Ugandan health communication NGO
registered in 1997. It operates nationally in Uganda.
Job Purpose:
To provide accurate information on performance and achievement of
organizational objective through periodic research and evaluation.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
•Participate in the development and review ofM&E frameworks: strategic;
programme and projects to ensure their coordination
•Participate in the design of appropriate tools for research and evaluation
processes.
•Participate in regular implementation of M&E activities across STF to
inform programmes and projects' decision making
•Prepare quality and timely monitoring. evaluation and research reports
•Document and share lessons learnt and best practices across STP and other
stakeholders
•Conduct research on relevant topics
•Build capacity of STF staff in monitoring and evaluation
•Perform regular quality assurance checks On programme and project
activities in line with programme/project objectives, standards and M&E
frameworks
Education and Training
A degree in a demography, social science, public health or statistics with
further training in monitoring and evaluation.
Experience
At: least 3 years' experience working in market research. social research
or programme evaluation and monitoring including design of systems and tools,
data analysis and report writing
Knowledge of
•Logical framework approach and other strategic planning approaches
•M&E approaches and methods (including quantitative, qualitative
and participatory)
•Data analysis packages like SPSS,EPI DATA, EPINFO, MS Access ...
•Research methods and analysis
•Records management processes
•Planning and implementation of an M&E system
•Budgeting
