Job description of Chemical technician.

·         Chemical technician Job Purpose:Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, for purposes, such as

·         research and development of new products or processes, quality control, maintenance of environmental standards, and other work involving experimental, theoretical, or practical application of

·         chemistry and related sciences.

Roles and responsibilities include:

• Monitor product quality to ensure compliance to standards and specifications.

• Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses.

• Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses.

• Maintain, clean, and sterilize laboratory instruments and equipment.

• Write technical reports or prepare graphs and charts to document experimental results. Order and inventory materials in order to maintain supplies.

• Develop and conduct programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards of raw materials, chemical intermediates, and products.

• Direct or monitor other workers producing chemical products. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

·         Diploma in Chemical engineering / industrial chemistry or equivalent.

·         The candidate must have at least 2 years of relevant experience

·         Computer knowledge is a must

·         Must possess a valid passport
