Brief Company Profile:
Malaria Consortium is looking to recruit a Finance and Administration
Manager to support all financial matters in a recently awarded a grant from
UNITAID to implement a large-scale initiative in seven countries in West Africa
with six partners with a total value of USD 67million.
The Finance and Administration Manager will manage all project financial
systems and standard operating procedures, monitor budgets, manage monthly
financial statements and forecasts, maintain rolling cash flow projection,
including bills payable, and manage payments to sub-grantees as per contractual
obligations. The Finance and Administration Manager will provide financial
support to the three countries where Malaria Consortium will implement the
project and oversee the sub-granting mechanism to five partner organisations.
The successful candidate will have:
• Demonstrated familiarity with cost accounting standards and management of
sub-contracts and sub-grants to partners.
• Experience working on large scale projects, managing teams across
multiple locations
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple
priorities and deliver to deadlines
• Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail
• Fluency in English with proven ability to communicate effectively within
a multi-cultural environment
• Demonstrated supervisory skills, and ability to work effectively within
teams
• Ability to develop and interpret standard financial reports (balance
sheet, income statements, cash flow).
• Knowledge of rules and regulations of donors and their application
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, Master’s
degree preferred
• Qualified accountant in recognized global body, e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Working knowledge of major accounting software, such as PS Financials,
Sun, Oracle.
