Brief Company Profile:
Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is a corporate body responsible for
regulation of civil aviation in Uganda. It manages Entebbe International
Airport (EIA) and thirteen (13) other upcountry aerodromes. CAA carries out its
work in conformity with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)
Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs).
PURPOSE :
The purpose of the position is to provide effective and efficient plumbing
services for all CAA premises and ensure that there are no blockages and the
plumbing system operates smoothly.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Maintenance of the plumbing system
· Supervises work in the section to ensure that there are no blocked drains
and there is efficient provision of plumbing services
· Ensures that water is running continuously in all CAA premises
· Ensures that daily inspections of the drainage system are thorough and any
defects are promptly attended to
· Ensures that all appliances/equipment are adequate and serviced ready for
use
· Responsible for accounting for all appliances/equipment
· Ensures that external repairers carryout their work effectively
· Maintains an accurate record of all works in the section
· Ensures that plumbing appliances are in the right order
· Carries out plumbing maintenance and follows plumbing maintenance
schedule.
· Monitors daily fault report and undertakes necessary repairs promptly.
· Monitors the service lines on daily basis to ensure there are no leaks.
· Follows existing flushing schedule to ensure clear systems at all times
and monitors surface and underground drainage systems
QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a good relevant Trade Certificate
EXPERIENCE
7 years relevant working experience
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
· Should have supervisory training
· Should have knowledge of relevant ICAO SARPs
