Nurture Africa (NA) is a Non-Governmental Organisation operating in Wakiso
and Mubende Districts. NA is committed to contribute towards the health and
development of the most vulnerable children in its areas of operation through
high quality education, health care, Children’s rights and Sustainable
livelihood programs enabling them to become positive influences in Ugandan
society.
Its primarily targets HIV infected and affected orphans and vulnerable
children and works with their families holistically in order for sustainable
change to occur.
Major responsibilities:
• Ensure “best practice” HIV and Primary Health Care services are provided
• Develop policies, clinical strategies and guidelines, clinical data
tools, work plans and budgets for the Health Centre and ensure they are in line
with the approved Organizational Work plan and M&E plan
• Lead the Health Care staff in weekly planning, requisition of funds and
reporting processes with emphasis on team participation
Required Qualifications, Competencies and Attributes:
• Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health
• Must have a post graduate diploma or degree in management
• At least 5 years’ experience in management, 2 of which should be in an
HIV setting
• Ability to lead and build the capabilities of a diverse team
• Excellent people and (written, oral and IT) communication skills both
internally and externally
• Understanding of finance, strategic development and planning, budgeting,
finance, information systems and human resources
