JOB STATUS: PERMANENT AND PENSIONABLE
REPORTS TO: PRINCIPAL ASSISTANT SEARGEANT-AT-ARMS
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To manage the operations of the Front Desk
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:
Education and Qualifications:
An Honours Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following
Disciplines:
Leisure and Hospitality Management,
or Public Relations, or Office Management, or Hotel Management/Institutional
Catering, or Communication Studies or from a recognized Institution
Skills and Abilities:
• Customer care, communication and public relations skills
• Articulate, cordial, hospitable and pleasant personality
• Good telephone etiquette
• Good people management and interpersonal
Key responsibilities:
• To perform front desk administrative duties and offer good customer care
services to both internal clients
• To collaborate with Parliamentary security personnel on control of access
and adhering to security procedures
• To provide general help desk services
• To receive and direct visitors
• To maintain a front desk visitor’s register
• To participate in organizing parliamentary ceremonies and events
• To deliver internal mail and personal documents services
• To supervise and appraise subordinate staff
• To perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
