Commercial Business Analyst (B2B)
The purpose of the job is;
To provide management information that supports performance of the
commercial business and to aid decision making.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the advertised role will be
responsible for:
• General fuel pricing administration related to the execution of the
commercial fuel pricing strategy
• Implementing the fuels pricing decisions by ensuring correct sell-in and
recommended sell-out fuel prices are maintained in the ERP and are communicated
to the relevant sales staff consistent with the company’s pricing strategy
• Providing appropriate administrative backup to the sales force to support
customer optimization and increase profitability
• Generating management information reports (sales data, margins, market
shares, etc), exception reports, control reports and follow-up with field sales
teams to ensure improved performance
• Establishing price position vs. competitors’ position, and track
competitor price movements
• Working closely with field sales staff and commercial manager to
continually refine customer level pricing strategies
• Conducting high level compliance reviews on pricing policy
• Implementation of audit action items arising out of all audit reviews
carried out in the department
• Following up commercial credit management performance ensuring proper
management of cash and overdraft facilities at all times
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (first class or upper second) in business studies,
commerce (accounting option), statistics, economics, mathematics or related
field.
• Three years’ experience as a business analyst in a commercial or retail business
• Experience and proficiency in working with ERP’s / business management
systems
• Proficiency with manipulation of numbers and databases
