Background Information:
We are retained to identify qualified, experienced and competent Ugandans
to fill management positions in a prominent insurance company servicing the
insurance needs of many of Uganda's leading industries, manufacturers and
professional organizations for the past 20 years.
Our Client is looking for the
following professionals immediately for their office located in Kampala. The
Client will negotiate an attractive and competitive remuneration package with
the right person for the posts:
01) Business Development Manager:
The incumbent is principally responsible for servicing existing clients and
acquisition of new business, setting of new business targets and achieving
same, monitoring compliance with company procedures and Insurance Statutes,
ensuring insurances are properly presented to the client and the client is made
aware of any pertinent or significant policy conditions, exclusions of
warranties, monitoring of broker relationships and development of same, general
business development and other relevant day to day functions
The candidate should be graduate in marketing or equivalent qualification
with a minimum of four years of relevant experience in a General Insurance
company.
02) Marketing Executives: (Two Posts):
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the incumbent will be
responsible for the acquisition of new business, meeting new business
targets, developing and mentoring of
broker relationships, general business development and other relevant day to
day functions
The candidate should be graduate in marketing or equivalent qualification
with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in an insurance company .
03) Senior Accountant:
Principally responsible for assisting the Financial Controller in
finalisation of accounts of the company, ensuring compliance with insurance
statutes, co-ordinating with statutory and internal auditors, preparation of
budgets and projections, preparation of MIS reports, preparation and submission
of various returns, preparation and submission of various reinsurance returns
and other relevant day to day accounting functions.
The candidate should be a Oualified CPA (must be a member of 'The ICPAU')
with more than five years relevant experience, of which at least two years
should be with a General Insurance company. Proficiency in computerised
accounting is essential.
04)Senior. Officer - Information Technology:
Principally responsible for administering the Information Technology (IT)
systems of the company. High degree of overall IT knowledge (both hardware and
software) is required. Knowledge of Oracle/SOL DB and expertise in Networking
is essential.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix would be an added advantage. Should be able to work
under minimum
Economists Management and Human Resource Consultants
supervision and be able to perform under pressure and deliver to strict
deadlines. Administrative skills are to complement IT skills as coordination
between various parties and troubleshooting are part of the job profile.
The candidate should be a Graduate in IT with practical experience of at
least five years in an organization of repute.
