REPORTS TO: PRINCIPAL SYSTEMS ANALYST/
PROGRAMMER PURPOSE OF THE JOB
• To analyze, design, develop and maintain Information technology systems.
Qualifications and Working Experience
• An Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
• IT Certification such as Oracle, Microsoft or ITIL plus active professional membership shall be an added advantage.
• A minimum of three (3) years working experience in systems analysis, development and maintenance as well as programming on Linux and Windows Operating Systems
Skills and Abilities
• Proficiency in use of C, JAVA, PHP, VB, C# and Python programming languages
• Advanced skills in database management, development and modeling using SQL
• Knowledge of standard development tools such as IDEs and RAD
• Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
• To analyze and design information systems
• To develop and maintain information systems
• To carry out the selection and acquisition of necessary software and hardware
• To test and implement new information systems
• To prepare system documentation and user manuals for Information Systems
• To train and support users of Information Systems
• To prepare periodic reports for the section
POST: SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
• To support day-to-day operations and administration of information & Technology Systems of the Institution
Education and Qualifications
• An Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering from a recognised Institution
Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of Shell scripting languages such as Power Shell, Bash, PERL, CSCRIPT and Python
• Knowledge in use of LINUX, Windows Operating Systems and application software.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, and network problems
• Knowledge of Network planning, administration and management
• Knowledge of Active Directory/LDAP
• Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
• To install ICT hardware and software
• To administer and maintain network infrastructure
• To maintain controls in LAN and WAN infrastructure
• To install and regularly update antivirus software
• To participate in the management of the Data Centre
• To train and support users of Information Technology Systems and hardware
• To carry out regular backups and recovery procedures

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
• To provide first line ICT user support services to Members and staff of Parliament Education and Qualifications
• An Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering from a recognized University/Institution
Skills and Abilities
• Ability to work in heterogeneous environments
• Proficiency in use of WinZip, Adobe, MS Office Desktop applications
• Knowledge and skills in use of various operating systems such MS Window, Apple IOS/OSX
• Good communication and Interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of ICT service management
• Knowledge in Active Directory/LDAP management
Key Responsibilities
• To provide ICT user support to members and staff of Parliament
• To identify ICT user problems and perform troubleshooting
• To carry out minor hardware repairs
• To provide advice to users on the use of ICT facilities
• To operate the ICT helpdesk
• To provide ICT training to users.

Education and Qualifications:
• An Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Leisure and Hospitality Management or Tourism from a recognized University/Institution
Skills and Abilities
• Good customer care, communication and public relations skills
• Events/conference management skills
• Good telephone etiquette
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work long hours
Key responsibilities
• To offer customer care services to the Institution’s clients/visitors
• To collaborate with Parliamentary security personnel on controlling access and ensuring adherence to security procedures
• To provide help desk services
• To maintain a front desk log book/calendar of important events to ensure prompt response to queries
• To coach and supervise junior officers
• To perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
