Background
Information:
Joint Medical Store (JMS) is a Church founded private
Not-For-Profit organization whose mission
is to supply medicines, medical equipment and related
healthcare services, and training of assured
quality to the people of Uganda at affordable prices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Marketing Executive shall implement approved marketing
strategies and campaigns in a professional manner in order to meet the overall
sales and marketing objectives of JMS.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Promote Joint Medical Store products and services.
2. Implement promotional plans for JMS products and
services.
3. Recruit new customers for JMS and implement initiatives
to retain them.
4. Conduct effective and targeted market intelligence to
monitor the market environment, explore new business opportunities and
recommend initiatives to address them.
5. Carry-out customer surveys, market analysis and submit
informative reports to immediate supervisor.
6. Organize and attend promotional events, exhibitions and
presentations.
Qualifications and
experience:
• A Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Commerce or
Health related field with a bias in marketing.
• Possession of professional qualification CIM will be an
added advantage.
• At least 3 year’s working experience in Sales &
Marketing of Fast Moving Consumer Goods or pharmaceutical business.
Computer literacy including experience in use of MS Word,
Excel and Outlook.
• Proven experience in customer and market research.
• Relevant product and industrial knowledge.
Skills and
Competencies:
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Well developed Oral and written communication skills.
• Able to prioritize work load, use initiative, work as part
of and lead a team.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving ability.
• Demonstrated high level of integrity.
• Valid Class B driving license.
