ACDI/VOCA was awarded the USAID-funded PL 480 Title II
Development Food Assistance
Program called “Resiliency through Wealth, Agriculture, and
Nutrition in Karamoja (RWANU)”, being implemented in Karamoja, Uganda. The
RWANU Project is focusing on two strategic objectives to reduce food insecurity
among vulnerable rural populations in selected sub-counties of Amudat, Moroto,
Napak and Nakapiripirit: (1) improved availability and access to food; and (2)
reduced malnutrition in pregnant and lactating mothers and children under five.
The project would like to recruit for the following position:
Post Title: M&E
Specialist – Agriculture Economics
Organisation:ACDI/VOCA
Location: based
in Moroto.
Key Responsibilities:
He/she is part of the M&E team and shall be responsible
for monitoring and evaluation of agricultural economic indicators for the
program, designing and implementing systems for monitoring farm productivity,
agricultural input costs, change in household incomes, and market access.
The M&E Specialist will perform economic analysis on the
impact of value chain activities on farming households.
He/she will work with the M&E Manager to develop and
implement a system for monitoring input costs, value of agricultural inputs and
outputs, market sales and purchases, access to saving and loans.
Qualification
requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics or
Statistics. At least 4 years experience in monitoring and evaluation of
agricultural value chain programs and in-depth knowledge of financial or
economic analysis. Expertise in design and implementation of agricultural
related evaluation research and data analysis is a plus.
